🧬 What is PIVKA-II?
PIVKA-II (Protein
Induced by Vitamin K Absence-II) is a blood biomarker that reflects tumour
activity and aggressiveness in liver cancer.
It can detect hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) even when the traditional
marker AFP appears normal.
📊 What is GAAD Score?
GAAD combines Gender,
Age, AFP, and PIVKA-II into one validated algorithm to asses person’s risk
of developing HCC.
